Transaction Categorisation

We use your receipts, invoices and explanations to allocate all of your purchase transactions into the right nominal categories that are relevant to your business. Nobody wants their sales recorded as an expense, or their new business vehicle as a phone bill!

Bank Statement Reconciliations

Checking your bank balances on your software match the statements you receive can be a big job, especially if you have hundreds of transactions each week or month, or lots of bank accounts. Let us do this for you to make sure it's all recorded accurately.

VAT Returns and VAT Code Checks

In need of monthly or quarterly VAT returns to be submitted? Not a problem. We don't even need to be the ones doing your bookkeeping! If you want just the VAT codes of your entries checking, we can do that too.

Software Provision & Support

Recommended Software

Xero and Quickbooks are our most recommended software for small to medium businesses. They're easy to learn how to do should you wish to do bookkeeping yourself, but are also not expensive.

Other Software

Although we predominatly use QuickBooks and Xero, we have years of experience with Sage 50, FreeAgent and many others. Please don't be afraid to ask if we can use these for your bookkeeping!

Not to worry- we're here to help you!Say goodbye to admin worries as we take care of all your business administration needs efficiently. FAQ's

Do I need to use software provided by you?

No, not at all. With your permission, we can be added to the software you already have as an admin user, and can then work via the cloud software or remotely to get the job done.

Do I need to have software already in place when I choose you for these services?

No, we can set this up for you from scratch.

What if just have a bag of receipts and no real order to them?

That's not a problem at all. We base our prices on the number of hours it takes to get the job done. The more organised you are, the cheaper it is, but that's not to say we would turn away anyone who is a messy record keeper. We're here to work around you.

Do I need to be a limited company to use your services?

We take on clients of all sizes, from sole traders to partnerships to limited companies. We do not charge for doing Independent Examinations of charities, and instead of payment, ask for reviews to be left for our Facebook and website pages.

Will you only work on service based businesses?

Nope, we're happy to help anyone who comes knocking at our door. However, service based businesses are our favourite type of bookkeeping client as they align with our specialism.

Do I need to be local to you to become a client?

 No. As long as all due diligence and AML checks have been completed when you join us, we’re happy to accept bookkeeping remotely, via cloud software, emails and through the post.

 Will it be difficult to switch from another service provider to Bodycot Bookkeeping?

Our aim is to make the transition as easy as possible. Once we have written consent from you to act on your behalf and a contract signed, we can contact your previous bookkeeping service provider and facilitate the transfer to us.

Do you charge for a consultation?

 Initial consultations are free, as are drop ins for paperwork, phone calls and emails between us once you are a client. The only time we would charge you extra is for additional meetings longer than 30 minutes or if the level of contact between us to complete the services required are significantly more than expected within our contract.
