Hi I'm Laura Bodycot (the owner)

I live in Queniborough, Leicester with my husband, two boys and two dogs. 

I started my  finance career back in 2012 doing bookkeeping for a bespoke joinery company, fell in love with all aspects of the accounting sector, and undertook levels 2 and 3 AAT qualifications. I am an AATQB bookkeeping member, as well as a licenced bookkeeper.

During my time, I've worked in three accounting practices (over the course of 9 years), overseeing hundreds of clients in my portfolio, as well as worked in industry for joinery and steel construction companies, and have decided to branch out and work for myself in order to fit around my cheeky monkeys. 

Our clients range from sole traders to partnerships to limited companies, with a range of backgrounds including farming, construction, and consulting to hair and beauty salons, shops, eateries and many more. However we do specialise in providing support to service based businesses.

No endeavour is too small or too large, too easy or too complicated to work with us, and newly started businesses are also welcome.

Hi I'm Rachel Herbet

Rachel became a valued member of our team in September 2025, having years of bookkeeping experience at a wide number of industry firms and accountancy practices. She possesses extensive expertise in streamlining process, client management, running payroll, and the training of staff on a variety of bookkeeping software. 

Hi I'm Pen Armson

Pen joined us in January 2026, taking on the role of assistant bookkeeper and providing support to Laura and Rachel. With a head for business and numbers, she’s working with some of our QuickBooks and Xero clients, as well as providing debt chasing services and doing category/transaction audits.

Soon, she’ll be tackling FreeAgent and Sage also to help with maintaining new clients we have taken on, as well as assisting with software migrations.

The Sileby Juniors Under 10's "Spiders" football team was the first we ever sponsored.

Laura's eldest, Harry, who is the team captain and striker, and husband Luke, who is the team coach, had repeatedly asked to get new away kits with the business logo on because they both loved it had the family surname in it.

Eventually she gave in and not only provided new kits, but also a bench and water bottles for the kids.

... And then we sponsored a second team!

Laura's youngest , Rowan, joined the Sileby Juniors Under 8's "Seals" football team shortly after Harry joined the Spiders.

When it came to the end of the 25/26 season, coach Vanessa Wain approached us to provide new home kits now that the boys had outgrown the old ones. Happily obliging them, we sponsored new kits, a bench and water bottles for all the kids.
